• The navigation unit detects the position of the vehicle from a cumulative calculation of the vehicle's direction and travelled distance based on the processing of direction data obtained from the gyro sensor and vehicle speed signals obtained from the DSC HU/CM.

• Even when GPS satellite reception is not available, accurate detection of vehicle's position is still possible.

• Signals from GPS satellites are used partially for detecting direction data.
